Right, of course! It’s always right to be right!

The deeper lesson is that being wrong … whether morally or intellectually, conversationally or metaphysically, regardless or whether it gives some pleasure in the moment, will not lead to happiness … not IN THE LONG RUN.

    Happy days, all.

Some right, probably most right, is relative. Happy is precious.

Happiness (including love, sense of beauty,…) is the feeling of things being better for our propagation and encouraging us to go further. (Except ineffective happiness, as smoking …)

Therefore, right or happiness is the same.

Interesting takes. You usually hear about this topic in the context of someone who is arguing his point, because he just has to be right. But in the process, he is angering people close to him or perhaps people on whom he needs to rely. For instance, some divorces are the result of one partner always having to be right. Some speeding tickets are the result of the driver just having to be right. In this context, being happy trumps being right, in my view.
