Well, it seems people are more to computers these days. Gazing at the screen most of the time because you can’t get up. It is as if you are glued to the screen. Very hard to avoid it.

But I find a very good way like keep looking at things outside the screen every minute or around 15 to 20 seconds. And that will allow the eyelids to blink preventing it from drying out. Or use a self lubricating drops.

I felt the changes myself, after I started working out regularly, three times a week. I woke up easier in the morning, slept better, felt more happy and alive, and of course thinner, which is always a plus.thanks..

Having just started a part-time deskjob, I can definitely relate to the need to energize during the day. Staring at a computer screen and being on the phone for 8 hours can be a real drain, so it's great to get up and walk about, get some fresh air and hey, maybe even get some exercise! It's good to see this post, as I think a lot of people need to take this sort of advice on board, and get more active. Myself included. :)

Taking a walk during the day really makes a difference too, and taking the time to notice all the beauty around us- no matter where we are. A beautiful flower, the clouds in the sky, a smiling face! There is beauty all around us, we just need to look!

I get a lot of my exercise done when I'm watching TV too- I do my sit-ups and lunges during the commercials, or even during the show! Only problem is my puppy thinks it's play time when I do this- but that makes me smile too:)

Thanks. That really helped. Though the thought of doing jumping jacks in my office makes me smile, which relieves more stress than anything else.

Thank you for letting me know about this. I actually never thought about getting off the couch in between commercials and exercising. It has really made a difference.

Keep the suggestions coming.

This is so very true- our modern way of life is out of snyc with our actual needs. Our bodies are simply not meant to sit there most of the day as we pile processed foods and sugars into it! The good news is that exercise gives you more energy and you feel elated and more able to exercise!

I'd advise anyone who's really unfit to start with walking, then fast walking and find a group activity which is physically demanding but fun.

Great advice. I take a mid-afternoon nap every day just to get the blood pumping and get some fresh air. Its an easy plan to stick with.
